Think of an everyday food that you enjoy. Outline the components in the food system that allow you to consume this food. Now, describe what these steps might look like in two different systems – a globalised, industrialised food system, and in a local food system.
Is it possible to still consume this food in a localised system? What are the advantages and disadvantages to producers and consumers in each of these examples?
