Farm Design - Goal Statements - Exercise 1

Step One: Imagine your farm has been established and it’s five years old. Describe it in dot points.

For example:

• • Very productive with lots of edibles (fruit & nut trees, veggies)

• • Healthy animals and pastures

• • Habitat for wildlife

• • Colourful

• • Places to gather

• • Has shady areas and is protected from the strong winds

• • Places for young children to play

Step Two: Re-work the above dot points into a present tense goal statement that captures the design as a living reality.
